PEARLS FOR PURPOSE l Ruby and Oliver
'If every business, no matter how small, gave something back to community, the world would be a better place.'
Our philosophy for PURPOSE.
Operating our own small business has given us many opportunities to live up to what we truly believe in. Since opening in 2001, we have significantly contributed to various organisations through the sale of our jewellery, including:
- UNICEF
- Medicins Sans Frontiers
- Friends of Waluboine (an institute for supporting abandoned children in the Congo)
- Dr Veronica James, breast cancer researcher
In 2015, our designer Bridget asked the then Gallery Manager Nathalie Pjerner to select an organisation that a brand new range of jewellery would be created for. Together they decided that the issues that our small town of Broome faces in our very own backyard was something that our business could make a significant difference to.
The FEED THE LITTLE CHILDREN Organisation of Broome was selected as our chosen group and.....RUBY AND OLIVER WERE BORN!
Feed The Little Children is an organisation that provides nourishing meals for disadvantaged children of Broome who would otherwise go hungry.
For every piece of 'Ruby and Oliver' jewellery sold, we donate 25% directly to the organisation.
Check out their website or keep up-to-date with news on Facebook
