Experience working for The Courthouse Collection

A journey I Never Expected
I’ve always dreamed of working from home, a life with more calm, more balance, and more time to breathe. I never imagined that dream would lead me to a jewellery brand, especially one known for pearls. Jewellery was never really my world, and even now, I don’t wear much of it myself. So stepping into this world felt new, delicate, and a little outside my comfort zone.
I had no real experience as a virtual assistant. I only had a one-month training course, and even then, I knew it wasn’t enough to prepare me for everything I’d need to handle.
So when I joined The Courthouse Collection, I carried both excitement and a quiet fear.
But life has a way of guiding you toward people and places that change you in the softest ways.
From the beginning, Bridget was incredibly understanding and patient with me. She guided me gently, answered every question, and reminded me through her words and actions, that learning takes time, and that it was okay to go step by step. Her kindness made my transition into this new work feel lighter and less overwhelming.
One of the moments that touched me most was when she sent me a few pieces from The Courthouse Collection. They became the first pearl jewellery I ever owned. I wasn’t someone who wore jewellery before, and even now, I don’t wear it often but receiving those pieces made me feel appreciated and included. It felt like a quiet welcome into a world I never expected to be part of.
Growing, Learning, and Discovering New Passions
I realised that every day with The Courthouse Collection teaches me something new. Some days I’m learning about pearl sizes and necklace lengths. Some days I’m understanding customer care more deeply. And some days, I’m surprised by how much joy I find in tasks I never imagined doing.
What excites me the most is creating social media designs and little artworks for the brand. Even though I didn’t come from a creative background, I found so much happiness in choosing colours, arranging layouts, editing photos, and turning small ideas into something beautiful.
Working from home didn’t just give me comfort, it opened a door to creativity I never expected to have.
